Based in Amsterdam, this company combines being a social enterprise with bringing plant-based foods to restaurants and professional kitchens.
We have added Mission Barns to portfolio. Because who doesn’t love bacon?
Mission Barns Inc. was incorporated in the state of Delaware on March 2, 2018, by Eitan Fischer. Fischer was JUST’s director of cellular agriculture, another name for “cultured” or “clean” meat, growing animal products directly from cells.
“At Mission Barns, we are cultivating animal cells to sustainably grow meat without the negative impacts of intensive animal agriculture. We start with a handful cells from select animals, grow them in a nutrient-rich environment, and harvest delicious, savory meat. Working at the convergence of biotech and food science, we’re on the path to creating a more sensible food system for the world.”
Added Sweet Nothings to the portfolio.
“Sweet Nothings is a healthy food company creating frozen snacks made from organic fruits, nuts, and seeds. Our product is clean, delicious, and free from animal products, added sugar, gums, and stabilizers. Our customers tell us it is the perfect mid-morning snack, 3pm-pick-me-up, and guilt-free dessert.”
